Designing an Inflight Entertainment System with Food Booking

The Challenge
Imagine soaring through the skies, craving a delectable meal to complement your inflight movie marathon. The challenge was to design an inflight entertainment system that seamlessly integrates a food booking feature, allowing passengers to order food to be delivered directly to their seat. With just 4 hours at hand, the challenge was daunting yet exhilarating. The goal was to create a seamless experience, offering both payable and non-payable options, and catering to diverse dietary preferences.
Designing the Experience
With limited time and sparse online resources, creativity became the cornerstone of the design process. I meticulously crafted two screens—one for main courses and another for appetizers—ensuring intuitive navigation and clear presentation of options.
Attention to Detail
Every aspect of the food booking feature was scrutinized. From filter options for vegetarian, non-vegetarian, and vegan meals to customizable selections, no detail was overlooked. Attention was also paid to inflight specifics, such as flight duration, timing, and other contextual details, to ensure a realistic and immersive experience.

One of the biggest hurdles was the lack of readily available references online. This forced me to rely heavily on intuition and ingenuity, pushing the boundaries of creativity to deliver a solution that met the challenge requirements.
